Transformative Interventions

CREDIBLE MESSENGER

This program mentors at-risk youth and families in Washington, D.C. Our Credible Messenger Program DYRS serves 35 court-involved youth and families, with mentoring, community engagement activities, and wrap-around services.

REACHING YOUTH

We bring a restorative justice philosophy to youth in the community.

The impact of ACM’s work is reflected in recent data: in 2024, the Metropolitan Police Department reported decreases in key violent crime metrics in Ward 7, which correlate with ACM’s interventions. Yet, the need for ACM’s services remains high, especially for youth crime prevention and vulnerable households with low-income thresholds. To meet this demand, ACM has expanded youth initiatives that foster conflict resolution skills and encourage self-awareness in children aged five and older, as well as adults. ACM’s extensive partnerships amplify its reach and effectiveness, including collaborations with the Mayor’s Office, the Department of Youth Rehabilitative Services, DC Public Schools, and local community organizations.
